If Melo signs extension with Denver or is traded to another team in a sign and trade they will lose out on Paul because he will not go to New York unless Melo comes there. Lets assume Melo signs the extension before offseason to go back Denver for 3 years and Chris Paul stays New Orleans or go Orlando. What will Knicks do? If Carmello does not sign that extension he is a free agent in 2011 and New York would be his first choice. Also Knicks have the pieces Gallanari, Chandler, Randolph, Eddy Curry expiring contract that they could use to bring Chris Paul to town.... Read More »
