I was just thinking about it and this is what I came up with so far .. Well first off, they both play for a New York franchise. -Victor Cruz is a first generation American since his parents are foreigners -Jeremy Lin is a first generation American since his parents are foreigners -Victor Cruz went undrafted in the 2010 NFL draft -Jeremy Lin went undrafted in the 2010 NBA draft -Victor Cruz had a breakout performance in pre-season summer 2010 against the Jets -Jeremy Lin had a breakout performance in summer-league 2010 against the Wizards -Victor Cruz struggled with injuries in his first season and never really got to play that year -Jeremy Lin was buried on the bench in his first season and never played much that year -Victor Cruz finally got heavy minutes against the Eagles this season due to injuries at WR for the Giants -Jeremy Lin finally got heavy minutes against the Nets this season due to injuries at PG for the Knicks -In his first real game against those Eagles, Victor Cruz went up against one of the best NFL players in Nnamdi Asomugha and completely dominated him. -In his first real game against those Nets, Jeremy Lin went up against one of the best NBA players in Deron Williams and completely dominated him.
