Open Question: How foolish will the Knicks fans look if after this season they don't get Paul or Melo?

If Melo signs extension with Denver or is traded to another team in a sign and trade they will lose out on Paul because he will not go to New York unless Melo comes there. In the next 5 years it is unrealistic they get any top ten player because Paul and Melo would be off the books, Wade, Bosh, Lebron, Durant are signed to big deals and it is unlikely Derrick Rose, Brandon Roy, Tyreke Evans, and Dwight Howard would leave their current teams....
