Resolved Question: NBA: Suggestion: Should Refs start brandishing Yellow Cards in official games?

Fans! Q 1. If the NBA installed 'cards' to designate the severity of fouls leveled by an official against an infracting player, would it make players honor sportsmanship more often? Example: The Ref holds up 1 Yellow Card against Ron Artest after he punched the nose of Point Guard Steve Nash after Nash executed a lay-up behind him. Just so happens, Ron Ron had already accrued a Yellow Card in the game before against the New York Knicks for stomping on the face of Carmelo as he fell to the ground in a skirmish to grab a loose ball. Example: Two Yellow cards accrued equate to a 1 game suspension. Also, 1 Red Card equates to a 3 game suspension and a $95,000 fine. Q 2. If Commissioner Stern asked YOU to detail the differences and type of CARDS USED in the NBA, what would you devise? Example: A Black Card equates to a 10 game suspension and a $ 10 million dollar fine.
